buche de noel
Yes, I am truly insane or truly creative. I am going to make a buche de noel this xmas. Actually I am making one now as a tester and bringing into work. I made the cake part of it and I am going to make the various frostings tomorrow and assemble it. I am even going to attempt the cute little mushrooms. Now that I think about it, I will be making 3. A tester, one for my family dinner and one for dan's family dinner. I rock. I will take pix and attempt to post them or something...

damn funny
In the hospital, the relatives gathered in the waiting room where their
family member lay gravely ill.
Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and somber. "I'm afraid I'm the
bearer of bad news," he said
as he surveyed the worried faces. "The only hope left for your loved one
at this time is a brain
transplant. It's an experimental procedure, very risky, but it is the only
hope. Insurance will cover the
procedure, but you will have to pay for the brain yourselves."

The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a great
length of time, someone
asked, "Well, how much does a brain cost?" The doctor quickly responded,
"$50,000 for a male brain,
and $2000 for a female brain." The moment turned awkward. Men in the
room tried not to smile,
avoiding eye contact with the women, but some actually smirked. A man
unable to control his
curiosity, blurted out the question everyone wanted to ask, "Why is the
male brain so much more?"
The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and explained to the entire
group, "It's just standard
pricing procedure. We have to mark down the price of the female brains,
because they've actually
been used."

Rock Star
You scored 92%!
You damn rock star. You know all the basics, and if you got any wrong, I bet it was that stupid Traveling Wilburys question.

Your friends are probably intimidated by your knowledge of classic rock and envy your impressive collection. When a classic rock song comes on the radio, you can probably identify it before the vocals kick in most of the time. You probably get good scores on the "maiden name of Clapton's mom" tests, too.

My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:
free online datingfree online dating
You scored higher than 63% on notes

hmmm, I haven't gone outside much, but I thought that was due to the FROCKING heat

I am The Hermit

The Hermit often suggests a need for time alone - a period of reflection when distractions are limited. In times of action and high energy, he stands for the still center that must be created for balance. He can also indicate that withdrawal or retreat is advised for the moment. In addition, the Hermit can represent seeking of all kinds, especially for deeper understanding or the truth of a situation. "Seek, and ye shall find," we have been told, and so the Hermit stands for guidance as well. We can receive help from wise teachers, and, in turn, help others as we progress.

running
I just walked/ran 8 miles. I can't believe I did that!!!! I totally pushed myself and I know I am going to be paying tomorrow!!!! What the hell am I thinking? Actually I was really good up until mile 6 and then, it was a slow going. I only ran probably a total of 1 mile, but I attempted to racewalk the other 7. The last mile and a half was a sloooooooooow amble. At least I got it done. I was supposed to meet my 'team' at 8:30, but I never found them. there was a big race in the park that was starting at the same time and very near to our meeting spot, so maybe everyone met elsewhere???? I can be kinda flakey.
I listed to almost the entire Led Zepplin BBC sessions and it took me a little over 2 hours. I came home and stuffed myself on pancakes and bacon and after a shower I crawled into bed.... I am crawling back there soon.

Current Mood: exhausted
Current Music: hum of my fridge
